♡♡ Line Em' Up Lip tutorial: tips & tricks for a fuller pout! ♡♡

Firstly, go check your lips in a mirror; they're great--YOU'RE great! Now that we understand that, on to our tutorial if you're looking to play around with shapes, colors, and finishes.

It all washes off at the end of the day anyway to reveal a gorgeous you--so play and have fun!

What you'll need!

We are gonna be using some:

1.) concealer of your choice!

2.) loose or pressed powder

(I'm using loose.)

3.) Lipstick of your choosing.

4.) Two lip liners cohesive to our lip liner, just make sure one is darker than the other.

Firstly,

Lets begin with our best concealer lips! Yup just smear it on, pat it in and that step is done!

Next, we grab our trusty loose or pressed powder and douse our lips and all around the mouth! This will make a great base and prime the lips for everything we're about to do to them!

Now we're gonna bust out that trusty lip liner in the darkest shade we chose and start to map out the shape we want!

This is one of the super fun parts because depending on the look we're going for we can over line to extremes, line our natural shape, try to mimic a character, or costume look! so, if there's a specific shape you're itchin' to try go for it! If you just want a natural look barely over line the cupids bow and under the bottom lip to mimic the shadow of pouty lips.

just be careful when over lining the sides, cause it can look great in photos but it is easy to spot in real life!

Don't worry if you think ya look crazy at first.

Now fill the lips in with that liner and coat em' good! This will help to make sure our lip color stays put!

Next, take the lighter shade lip liner that we picked out, and fill those lips in again! using all these colors can give dimension, and a sort of optical illusion effect.

Remember! Lighter colors in the middle, darker on the outside and around the edges. This creates that pouty effect.

Now on to lipstick! Pick out your perfect shade and apply liberally. (I'm using Avons Cherry Jubilee, and if you don't know what that is you need to! haha! Thanks Mom!)

If you want, grab a lip brush and blend the edges. I think it gives a smoother, neater line and also helps carve out that shape you want to achieve. Use what works for you, I think I'm actually using an ELF concealer brush which is perfect!

Now GRAB THAT LOOSE POWDER! (or pressed powder) Time for one of my favorite tricks, this can also be used to achieve Matte lips no matter what finish you use. It also pretty much makes sure that your lipstick will be there till you wipe it off!

Even if you want to skip all the colors and just use one shade, dab some powder on and it'll stay put, become Matte, and add a little somethin' somethin'!

I Picked up some powder on my finger and dabbed away! You want to focus this on the middle of your lips and blend outward. Do not rub though, make dabbing motions until the powder disappears. This gives such a lovely finish to the lips!

Go back in with your darkest lip liner and fix your shape and redefine like I did if needed. Then pat some more powder over the top. Oh, and don't worry if you smudge, just take some concealer on a small brush and line around the edges of your mouth if needed, this will also help prevent feathering. No Worries!

Happy Lining! Pick out your fav shades and play! Don't give yourself rules or limits! Just remember for a pouty look keep it darker on the outside, and lighter in the middle!
