💄 e.l.f. cosmetics review + Foundation 💄
Hello lovelies! 💕
Grab a cold pop, get comfy and let's talk some makeup!
A little bit ago I grabbed some new e.l.f. Products to try out. But I already knew I adore the brand! Seriously girls, professional quality product that I can snatch up for a price that doesn't make me shed salty tears is something we can all get excited about! Love-them!
First I'll talk about the lip balm. It's in the shade bare kiss, and it's gorgeous! I love love the color-it has these super flattering warm tones, and although the color is sheer you definitely have control of the color payoff with this product! You could blend it out or build it up, your choice! I also love the white packaging, it reminds me of the way 80s cosmetics were packaged, which I adore! The packaging is great quality as well! This is not a lid that will pop off only to leave your product at the bottom of your purse covered in hair and glitter-nope this bad boy is sturdy! To me, it also has a cinnamon, spicy type smell.
Next is this beautiful Lipstick! This lippie is in the shade Nostalgia which is one of the first things that peaked my interest, it's true! But then, that color! It's quite light with peachy undertones and it really flatters too! Depending on what liner combo you use, letting it shine, or using a bit of powder to make it matte you can achieve tons of looks, so many fun possibilities!
Here we have the "Shimmering Facial whip" and this product is so versatile! You can pretty much use it anywhere and it's gonna look great! If you blend it out and let it melt into the skin, it makes a dreamy highlighter. you can also punch up the glow on your blush with this, and give a fresh dewy look to the skin at the same time. beautiful! (I believe this is the shade pink lemonade).
I had never seen anything like this before, it's so cool! This is the lip plumper and primer duo and it's pretty great! the plumper side is like lip balm that makes you feel like Angelina Jolie with out the risk of permanent changes to your gorgeous face, seriously dolls you're great, don't stick needles there! This little badboy can be worn alone, under lipstick, over lipstick-you name it! you'll feel a bit of tingly pinching while it does its thing, and it has a strong cinnamon smell that is perfect for fall.
The primer side is like concealer for your lips, and preps your pout for whatever color you choose, it's there to make sure your color of choice has staying power!
This is the pressed powder in the shade Ivory. The quality is great, but I think i picked a shade way too light for me at the moment. Again with that cute packaging, i love it!
This is the bronzer in sunkissed Glow and it is beautiful! It is quite a sparkly one, so you could use it alone or with a matte bronzer to create a glowing sunkissed look. It can add that touch of sun to your face when you're feeling washed out.
Next, we have the blush I picked up in the shade glow and I am in love! Peach blush is an obsession of mine, and this one has little warm gold flecks-it is so flattering on the skin! It gives a really healthy glow that can brighten up your whole look. If you're running late, you could just sweep a bit of this along the apples of your cheeks to wake up a tired face. And again with that packaging, I'm getting major 80s vibes, even down to the applicator brush-so cute!
Here's a better peep at those gorgeous gold flecks, and babely peach tones.
Oh, I also picked up a refill on my foundation! This is Revlon Colorstay 24hr foundation for oily/combo skin in the shade 200 Nude. My mom kindly helped me to colormatch at the store, and I adore this shade! (I have graduated from ivory since I got some sun this summer, yay!) I noticed they have redone their packaging, and that it is now spf 15! When I used it before I always wanted it to come in a pump bottle for convenience-and now it does yay! can I get a whoop whoop! Love it!
The formula is beautiful and it is a full coverage professional quality foundation. Just to tell you how great it is, when I was wearing this brand the first few times i was trying it out, we happened to be in a hot vehicle in what felt like 100 degree weather. My cousin turns to me and basically asked if I even sweat, oh I was, but it was the foundation that made me seem like i didn't! So yeah it definitely stays put, and gets the job done!
Hope you enjoyed this post, and maybe found a lil' something new you might want to try out!
Remember, God loves you and cares about what you go through!
Stay Peachy!
